That’s what Comcast Cable is trying to do certain locations. Comcast Cable sought a ruling from the FCC that the company is subject to effective competition in seven communities.
The company believes it’s exempt from paying cable rates set by the local governments in these cities because two direct broadcast satellite providers also service the markets.
