CCME taps Tim Spengler for multiplatform role

Tim SpenglerClear Channel Media and Entertainment has named the former Magna Global CEO to the newly created position of President of Content Marketing and Revenue Strategy. He’ll be based in NYC and report to CCM+E CEO John Hogan.


Spengler will use CCM+E’s multiplatform assets to develop new and innovative media and advertising opportunities in unison with CCM+E National Programming Platforms, National Sales, Marketing and Partnership Platform and Local Sales. He will build additional value for CCM+E marketing partners by creatively utilizing all of the company’s media and entertainment assets – delivering enhanced ROI’s with unique solutions.  In addition, Spengler will focus on advertiser and industry trends to drive new ad products and deployment of CCM+E revenue resources.

Spengler has been a senior executive for the Interpublic Group (IPG), a leading global advertising holding company, for nearly two decades, most recently with Magna Global, the strategic media investment and intelligence arm of IPG Mediabrands. In that role, he leveraged relationships with media companies across the world to maximize value for IPG’s clients.

Prior to that, Spengler was President, North America, for Initiative, one of IPG’s three worldwide media networks.
