Talk Radio Network’s veteran talker Barry Farber will be honored with the Talkers Magazine Lifetime Achievement Award on 6/7.

“I never tasted this kind of sweetness before and I wish I could share it with the whole world, beginning with Michael Harrison and his team at Talkers Magazine and Mark Masters, my boss at Talk Radio Network,” said Farber, host of “The Barry Farber Show.”

Farber will be presented the award by Michael Harrison, Talkers Magazine publisher, during the publication’s New Media Seminar.

Said TRN CEO Mark Masters: “Barry Farber is one of America’s legendary talk show hosts.  He brings meaning to what otherwise would be information through the art of storytelling.  Barry transports the listener to places no other medium can take them, painting memorable images with a gentle Southern accent – he is one of a kind.  Congratulations Barry!”

The longtime host was named by the magazine as one of the most important talk show hosts of all time in 2002 and 2010, having hosted radio talk shows since 1960 when his first program aired on WINS in New York, called “Barry Farber’s WINS Open Mike.” Farber would go on to host shows on a variety of stations such as WOR-AM, WMCA-AM, both in New York and many others before joining the ABC Radio Network and Talk Radio Network.

“The Barry Farber Show” airs Saturdays live from 1 to 2 p.m. PT and 4 to 5 p.m. ET.
