Arkansas cluster expands into Missouri

SoldA collection of radio stations in the extreme northern portion of Arkansas has filed to acquire an FM sister in the extreme southern portion of Missouri, in unrated territory. The buyer is related to Mountain Lakes Broadcasting.


The station is KMAC-FM Gainseville MO. It is owned by Max H. Peason’s Pearson Broadcasting of Gainesville Inc.

It is being bought under licensee name KTLO LLC, which is related to the aforementioned Mountain Lakes. The principals include Vilma Ward, Danny Ward, Bobby Dean Knight and Vivian Sue Knight.

The cluster is centered at Mountain Home AR, where MLB owns KTLO AM-FM. The other station in the group includes KCTT-FM Yellville AR.

KMAC-FM is a Class C2 on 99.7 MHz with 50 kW @ 492’. Its primary contour encompasses Mountain Home from its perch across the state line.

MLB also has interests in KHOZ AM-FM Harrison AR, not far from but out of reach of Mountain Home to the west.
