Another slip in consumer confidence

ChartAccording to the Conference Board, consumers lost their faith in the economy modestly during the month of November following a sharp drop in October. CB worries that the timing is bad for the holiday shopping season.


The baseline Consumer Confidence Index fell from 72.4 in October to 70.4 in November. The Present Situation Index fell from 72.6 to 72.0, and the Expectations Index fell from 72.2 to 69.3.
