'America's Got Talent' takes top ratings slot for NBC

“America’s Got Talent” was the #1 show of the night on the broadcast networks in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures.


From 8-9 p.m. ET, “It’s Worth What?” averaged a 1.1/3 in 18-49 and 4.3 million viewers overall.  “It’s Worth What?” matched its 18-49 rating of the prior week and increased week-to-week by 3 percent in total viewers (4.315 million vs. 4.172 million)..

From 9-11 p.m. ET, “America’s Got Talent” (3.1/8 in adults 18-49, 11.6 million viewers overall) ranked #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in all key measures – adults, men and women 18-49, adults, men and women 18-34, adults, men and women 25-54 and total viewers as well as among teens 12-17 and kids 2-11.

Note that in recent weeks, “America’s Got Talent” has increased by 0.1-0.3 of a rating point in 18-49 in official nationals versus these preliminary fast-affiliate ratings.
 
.Week-to-week, “America’s Got Talent” was up 11 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 3.1 rating from a 2.8) and 12 percent or more than 1.2 million persons in total viewers (11.619 million vs. 10.395 million), pending updates

In the 10-11 p.m. hour “Talent” beat the ABC-CBS competition combined in 18-49 (3.4 vs. a combined 2.5), total viewers (12.021 million vs. a combined 10.989 million) and all other key categories.  From its first hour to its second, “Talent” grew in all key ratings categories, including a gain of 17 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 3.4 from a 2.9).

In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, “America’s Got Talent” delivered a 105 percent margin of victory in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (with a 4.1 rating vs. a 2.0 for CBS’s second-place “NCIS” encore).  In the 10:30 half-hour, “Talent” topped the ABC and CBS competition combined in all key ratings categories.

NBC ranked #1 for the night in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures. This marks the network’s 13th consecutive Tuesday win in total viewers.
