SoldNo, WBZR AM & FM, a combo located to the north of the Mobile AL-Pensacola FL area, is not stuck back in the 1900’s. The stations are actually being acquired by 21st Century Broadcasting Inc. – with a nice ROI for the seller

The buyer’s principals are Norma Jean Lewis and Bryan Covey.

The seller is R. Lee Hagan’s Gulf Coast Broadcasting Company Inc.

The price for the pair will be $325K cash, with the bulk — $275K – attributed to the FM.
Hagan acquired the stations out of bankruptcy pursuant to a contract dated 12/8/09, paying $190K, translating to a nice face-value increase for the resale.

The FM is a Country-formatted Class A on 105.9 MHz with 5.5 kW @ 328’.

The AM, a currently-silent Class D, is always silent after the sun goes down. It is licensed to operate on 1000 kHz with 1 kW-D, ND.
