The Chief Administration Officer of Radio One has decided to leave the company focused on African American media consumers at the end of the calendar year.

Linda Vilardo will depart the company after 19 years of service, effective Dec. 31, 2017.

“I’ve been working non-stop for many years, and I’m looking forward to taking a break and seeing what the future holds,” Vilardo said in a brief comment late Tuesday (4/18).

Vilardo has served as Chief Administrative Officer at the company since November 2004. She joined the company as Asst. Secretary in April 1999, and rose to VP in February 2001. Concurrently, she served as Radio One’s General Counsel from January 1998 to January 2005.

Before joining Radio One, Vilardo was a partner in the Washington, DC office of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, where she represented Radio One as outside counsel.

From 1992 to 1997, she was a shareholder of Roberts & Eckard, P.C., a firm that she co-founded.
