A New Public File Hassle?

FilesThe FCC is preparing to vote next week on opening a rulemaking to eliminate the requirement that stations keep paper back-ups of their public inspection files.


That’s something broadcasters have told the commission makes sense since television is now using online public files and radio will begin to do so next month.

However, some Congressional lawmakers want the agency to go further.
