The first details coming out of the European economic summit were viewed as generally positive on Wall Street, although questions remain about the total package to come. The Dow Jones Industrial Average moved up 162 points, or 1.4%, to 11,869. Broadcasting stocks joined in the advance. SBS got a reprieve, closing up right at the $1 Nasdaq minimum bid.
The RBR Radio Index was up 2.986, or 1.1%, to 283.926.
The TVBR Television Index was up 10.251, or 4.4%, to 241.009.
